The Circus

On Friday, June 4th, Owen got to go the circus with his cousin, Mia. They got to go last summer and ever since then all we've heard is "I want to go to the circus again". Well, here was his chance and he had a blast. There is so much joy in seeing your children have fun and enjoy themselves. He particularly liked the stilt walkers

and commented that "that is the tallest man I've ever seen...I want to be that tall when I get big". He really wanted cotton candy, but at 8 o'clock at night Brendan and I didn't feel that was a good idea. He accepted our "no, not this time" well and once the second act of the show started I think he forgot about the cotton candy.

Mia had a blast, too, and kept tapping Owen so she could point out everything that was going on. We had a very fun night, especially since Owen and Mia had such a great time.

Colorado 2010

OK, so I haven't quite caught on to the blog idea yet, but I'm going to try and rectify that now. We just got back from a great family vacation to Fort Collins, Colorado! The time away from home was much needed and we had a terrific time with our friends, the Disarios. The eight hour drive went surprisingly well...and many thanks to whomever thought up those rear entertainment systems! The boys got their fix of Mickey Mouse, Cars and Toy Story.

The boys had a great time playing outside (primarily baseball) and Owen got to go to the driving range with Brendan one evening. We spent a day up in Estes Park doing some shopping, sliding down the slides at Fun City and having lunch at one of our favorite spots. The weather was perfect!
